Job Position: Manager – Health Promotion Programs
Department: Health Services
Status: Full-Time Contract – 35 hours per week (Until December 31st, 2026)
Location: Mississauga & Brampton (with local travel), In-person/On-site
Compensation: $73,445.00 per annum plus benefits.

Position Summary:
Under the general guidance of the Director – Health Services and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, the incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of all Health Promotion Programs including community health promotion and other health program initiatives.
Responsibilities and Duties: (but not limited to)
* Plan, develop, implement, evaluate and coordinate the Health Promotion Programs.
* Lead, manage, supervise and train program staff ensuring accurate information and educational dissemination to the community and clients.
* Plan workshops and information sessions, including sourcing speakers and presentation topics.
* Explore service partnerships and new opportunities and approaches to ensure health promotion related education and supports are shared as widely as possible.
* Problem-solve and collaborate in seeking solutions to day-to-day and ongoing support challenges.
* Oversee daily and weekly scheduling assignments, and review and approve timecards for payroll.
* Determine, order and coordinate distribution of program supplies.
* Liaise with assigned committees and other community partners to share and access services on behalf of Indus.
* Participate and support educational sessions, town halls, regional table meetings, and other health promotion activities.
* Source and complete grant/funding applications for program growth and sustainability.
* Develop and implement strategies, outreach activities, and establish appropriate community partnerships to recruit seniors and caregivers.
* Accountable for the management of assigned databases such as Caseworks, iCARE, Harts and other databases integral to Indus’ operations/financials, including staff training, ensuring data accuracy, running reports, and maintaining the overall integrity of all operational and/or financial data.
* In conjunction with the Communications and Marketing team, assist in the development and rollout of all project specific communications and outreach materials.
* Provide administrative support, assist in the development and implementation of special projects, including a Health Services newsletter and manage the internal and external Health Services Indus Calendar of Events.
* Responsible for all program data collection and reporting including trends reporting, outreach activity statistics and project evaluation activities.
* Represent the program with strong knowledge of the overall program especially when developing new partnerships.
* Ensure that program expenses and funding allocations are monitored and accurately managed and monthly/annual service delivery targets are managed, met, and reported within assigned deadlines.
* Provide backup coverage onsite for Managers when needed.
* Provide regular updated reports for the consideration of the Health Services Management Team.
* Participate in staff and team meetings, and professional development opportunities as required.
* Adopt safe work practices, reporting unsafe conditions immediately.
* Perform other duties as required.
Salary Type: per yearSalary: $73,445.00Job Requirements:Qualifications and Skills:
* Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline and a minimum of three years’ experience in health promotion, health services and/or outreach in a community setting is required.
* Management/supervisory experience including administration, management and organization, program development, personnel management preferably in the non-profit, community services or health sector is required.
* Knowledge of and experience with disease prevention and management is an asset.
* Strong knowledge and understanding of community resources of the Region of Peel.
* Experience in health promotion strategies including community development; experience writing proposals; strong presentation skills.
* Knowledge of and experience with group dynamics and group facilitation approaches.
* Experience in program development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation for programs of a multi-disciplinary nature, including experience with statistical analysis (quantitative and qualitative).
* Strong critical analysis, problem-solving, planning, decision-making, leadership, organizational, and change management skills.
* Ability to mobilize people at the grassroots; strong networking skills.
* Sensitivity to people from different socio-economic backgrounds with an equity lens.
* Self-directed, self-motivated, with a positive attitude and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to prioritize, multi-task and adjust to shifting priorities.
* Strong oral and written communication skills required and the ability to communicate in one or more South Asian languages is an asset.
* Advanced proficiency in MS Office, email, and other applications. Able to learn and work proficiently in Caseworks – the case management software tool of choice at Indus.
* Ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings, weekends and from any Indus work-site.
* Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation is required.
* Successful candidates must provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check prior to commencing employment.
