“Thank You for Making the Evolve Grand Opening a Wonderful Success”
By Cassandra Briscoe, CCS Volunteer
The official grand opening on May 5 included a live band, cupcakes, and plenty of smiling shoppers.
One shopper was counting down the days for Evolve clothing to finally open. “I have been a little lost these last few months, I had to drive to a thrift shop in Newmarket a couple times,” Jessica said. She attended Chez Thrift on a weekly basis, either to donate bags of clothes herself or to shop for different items.
“I was a little worried at first because it is a new store, with fancier clothing so I thought everything would be priced really high,” Jessica said. However, after looking around for some time and collecting a cart-full of clothing she believes the items are very reasonably priced, for the value you are receiving.
From youth to seniors, male to female, there was a various group of shoppers coming in and out of the store.
Jillian, a 15-year-old girl was very impressed by the beauty of the store. “The bright lights and colourful walls really caught my eye when I walked in,” she said. She also commented on the vast selection of clothes and reasonable prices. From beautiful ball gowns, to winter coats, to shoes, purses, and accessories, Evolve truly has it all.
Evolve resembles any clothing store you would visit in a regular mall and strays from the “unorganized-used clothing” label that many thrift stores are categorized to look like. The store gives people in the Caledon community a shopping experience close to home, with extremely affordable prices for items of much greater value in a large department store or mall.
All donations and purchases benefit the community as 100 percent of the profits are invested back into programs for Caledon residents.
If you haven’t had a chance to check out the new store, head over to 4 Industrial Road in Bolton and get shopping! Head to Evolve Clothing for a shopping experience you won`t forget.
