Respite
Respite Companionship
Respite workers provide non-medical care and companionship for seniors and adults with disabilities within their homes. Respite workers supervise and support individuals so their regular caregivers can have some time away from care giving responsibilities.
A respite worker will go the client’s home to:

Provide companionship

Provide activities

Prepare meals
This support is a fee for service program and services are subject to worker availability; workers can be available 24/7/365.

24/7 Assisted Living
24/7 Assisted Living
Our Assisted Living Program provides seniors in Caledon with services they need to continue living independently. Services are available to eligible seniors who are tenants in one of the six Peel Living buildings throughout Caledon or live within designated areas in the communities of Bolton and Caledon East and are referred by Community Care Access (CCAC) to CCS. These services are offered at NO CHARGE to eligible seniors.
The Community Assisted Living Program provides non-medical services that include:

Personal hygiene and activities of daily living assisted by Personal Support Workers

Care coordination

Reassurance and safety checks via phone or in-person.

Health & Wellness Program
Seniors Health & Wellness Program
The Seniors Health and wellness programs are offered in various locations across Caledon for adults aged 55+. Programs include exercise, educational opportunities, therapeutic recreation, creative arts and crafts.
If you live anywhere in Caledon and are interested in participating in Adults 55+ activities offered in Bolton, Caledon East, Caledon Village, Alton or in the Snelgrove communities, please contact (905) 584-2300 ext 273 for more information and dates on local activities in your community and options for getting there.

Transitional Care in Caledon!
The Transitional Care Centre (TCC), located in Alton at Pinnacle View, helps you get back on your feet when an illness or injury has taken its toll.

This program is right for you if:

You, or a loved one, is in need of care and are 55+

You require special care but not admittance to a hospital OR are discharged from the hospital but are not quite ready to be on your own
Personal Support Workers (PSWs) work within the cozy three-bed, two bedroom facility to provide individualized attention and intensive support with all living activities including:

Bathing

Dressing

Medication reminders

Nutritious meals and snacks catered to each client’s dietary needs and restrictions

Case management and referrals

Transportation
