Full-Time
Roma Fence Ltd. is currently looking for a full-time MIG welder to assist in our residential and commercial department. The ideal candidate will be versatile and a team player who welds and fabricates metals for fence and gate manufacturing.
Job duties and responsibilities:
- Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products
- Perform custom MIG welding
- Prepare jigs for welding
- Install and repair various equipment and components
- Follow blueprints to meet product specifications
- Calculate material measurements to verify specifications
- Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance
Qualifications:
- 4-8 years of welding experience
- Gates/Fences experience an asset
- Diploma or certificate in welding
- Must be able to weld galvanized materials
- Must be able to read work drawings
- Forklift certification an asset
- Quality work is an absolute must
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Must be able to work independently with a minimum supervision
- Ability to operate previously set-up welding machines, drive forklifts, and use industrial saws
- Weight handling: up to 75 lbs
