Husky matching CCS Santa Fund donations
Caledon EnterpriseFor the fifth year in a row, Husky Injection Molding Systems is once again going matching every single dollar donated to the Caledon Community Services’ Santa Fund up to $25,000. Recognizing that the need is greater than ever before, they’ve issued a challenge to other Caledon businesses to do the same.
“I am reaching out to you and other business leaders in the community to join me in support of CCS”, said John Galt, Husky CEO. “I hope you have the means and desire to make a difference through an investment in the Santa Fund. Husky is stepping forward with a donation of $25,000 and I am asking that you consider making a donation in any amount.”
Husky and Caledon Community Services are reaching out to businesses and residents and asking one and all to come forward and pledge support for the 2012 Santa Fund. Every dollar pledged from Dec. 13 to the end of the campaign, up to $25,000, will be matched by Husky.
“We’re very aware that we’ll only reach our target of $180,000 through the support of thousands of residents and this community’s small and large businesses,” said Monty Laskin, CEO of Caledon Community Services. “Husky’s support is extraordinary; it gets our Santa Fund off the ground. Everyone in our organization appreciates this kindness.”
Santa Fund donations can be made online at ccs4u.org or by contacting Nicole Dumanski, Fundraising Assistant at CCS, (905) 584-2300 ext. 236.
The demand for support, food bank assistance, emergency medical funds and help with heat has increased. Without a united community effort, there will be a shortfall that will make day-to-day living extremely difficult for many families in Caledon.
